Autoclave Typical Operation Cycle
 
  3 minutes at 134 ºC in saturated steam
  10 minutes at 126 ºC in saturated steam.
  15 minutes at 121 ºC in saturated steam.
  30 minutes at 115 ºC in saturated steam
     

To ensure that the load reaches the necessary temperature for the set period, the setting of the temperature controller should be some what higher than that actually required due to fluctuation of temperature within the chamber. The correct temperature / pressure correction for sterilization is shown in the table.
